Customer Rating: Summary: Good Beginner Book Comment: I had never used dreamweaver 8 or any other similar program prior to getting this book. It was very helpful when used as a reference while completing some of the Macromedia/user's guide tutorials. CSS and layers explained well.
Customer Rating: Summary: FOR beginners Comment: This book is good for beginners who want to use simple functions of Dreamweaver 8. However, if you are looking for advanced features or doing things beyond simple text and simple images this book is not for you.
Customer Rating: Summary: A bit disappointed Comment: This is probably a decent book for someone without any web skills or has never used an interface similiar as this (as I have). I purchased this book along with the DW Bible and found as this is perhaps a good getting started book, it was light on overall material. The author presented the archaic method to HTML pages first (I thought this was odd) before presenting the newer CSS style.
Its a decent book but the bible is much better.
Customer Rating: Summary: Do not buy this book!!!! Comment: This is the worst instruction manual I have ever read. It makes things way more complicated than need be. The pictures are useless and the format of the book is ridiculously slow. A reader does not even learn how to open a new file until CHAPTER 3!!!Dreamweaver is an extremely intuitive program I was able to put up a simple website only after I PUT THE BOOK DOWN and started experimenting with the program itself. Bottom line: this book is a total waste of money.
Customer Rating: Summary: How to Do Everything with Dreamweaver 8 (How to Do Everything) Comment: Great book and easy to follow.
