Customer Rating: Summary: Very useful Comment: I am a fairly serious amateur who has used Photoshop CS2 for more than a year and used Photoshop Elements for a couple of years before that. Most of this book applies to CS2 as well as CS3, but much of it does not apply to Elements. I learned a lot from this book. The information is clear and neither talks down to you nor expects you to be a Photoshop geek. No book could ever cover everthing in Photoshop, but this one covers most of the important concepts in a way that is easy to understand and very useful. My only complaint is that I wish there were more in-line color pictures. There is a section of color plates in the middle of the book, but those in the text are all black and white. I suppose that helps keep the price modest, but it is sometimes a problem. Nevertheless, I think most Photoshop CS2 or CS3 users would find a lot in this book that they don't already know. I have serveral books on Photoshop, and this is one of my favorites.
Customer Rating: Summary: the worst book i have ever purchased Comment: I owned this book for 3 short days before I returned it. The examples are unclear and the chapter lead nowhere. You don't wind up with a finished product at the end that you can apply to other photos.
