Comment: i found this book interesting and easy to read. i recommend it to whoever wants to break into ethical hacking. my only take on it is that its not as detailed as i was expecting. i am not sure how that's going to impact my preparation for the CEH test...guess ill find out soon enough

Comment: hi ima freshman in highschool, i went through the questions at the end of every chapter and i got almost all of them on (on the "idealogy" stuff) i think this book is waaaaay too easy. i also noticed it said that you cant sniff any packets on a switched LAN and you DEFINITLY CAN. Read Counter-Hack:Reloaded if you dont want to read an elementary book on Ethical Hacking. Better take my CEH exam before highschool tho it will look good on transcript. hell if the exam is as easy as the book ill ask my school if i can do penetration testing(with a get out of jail free card of course.)

Summary: Good Summary: However Brief; Some Questions with Errors
Comment: I have won Defcon CTF competition now two years in a row and have decided to try to get the CEH certification. I purchased this book primarily for additional questions. This material does not have much depth, however, maybe that is all that is required to pass the CEH exam. I would recommend a preliminary hacking course offered at SANS or BlackHat before trying to read this book. The experience will help you to get more out of the book, and most certainly will assist with your skills development.
