Customer Rating: Summary: A great book on usability! Comment: Small book but packed with a lot of information...great book!
Customer Rating: Summary: Must have for ALL levels of web designers Comment: If Steve Krug has more experience with web design than you (and changes are he does), then you should buy this book. He has some good things to tell you.
It's easy to read, fun, short and power packed with the basics of excellent web design. It's obvious an enormous amount of effort went into getting it just right.
I've been designing for 10 years, and much of what he is saying is familiar to me, but the way he says it is so well organized and so fun that it's just delightful, and I can't wait to give it to my bosses to read. It's a great "read on the plane" or "read in two evenings" book.
But it's more than just a fun read. It's helping me to organize my thoughts and I'm having more fun designing that I've had in years.
Customer Rating: Summary: Straight-forward Comment: A great no-nonsense book taking the mystery out of website readability.
Many ideas and suggestions. Well-researched. Helpful
Customer Rating: Summary: Don't Make Me Think: A Common Sense Approach to Web Usability Comment: As the title suggests if you use common sense you will already practice many of the things suggested but it's good to be reminded and there might be something you overlooked which you can use to improve your design.
Customer Rating: Summary: Good, but you should have guessed this yourself Comment: This is a fast read about making good Web sites. I agree with just about everything Krug says, and it's nice to hear him say it. Most of what he says is (or should be) common sense. However, there are so many web sites that violate his advice that it must not be common sense.
Read the book, just don't expect any profound insights. Maybe you don't need profound insights to make a good web site.
