Customer Rating: Summary: No Fuss and Bother here Comment: This is a reference book for on the spot situations and also when just browsing with camera in hand.
It's a handy size so it can be carried around with the camera.
Very quick and simple solutions to individual situations, no heavy plodding through a 2 inch manual.
I thoroughly recommend this book for all photographers.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great digital photography book Comment: This is a short quick read of many single-page topics that every digital photographer should own. It's content is superb, and the insight and tips make this a reference book to carry in your bag after reading. A must buy!
Customer Rating: Summary: Not what I expected! Comment: I am fairly new to digital photograpy, and although the book offers some useful tips, it was not what I expected. Most of the tips offered in the book, I have found just browsing the internet. More details of the tricks the pros use would have been more helpful.
Customer Rating: Summary: OK, but enoying Comment: The book contains several good tips for a photographer, but the way it is written is sometimes too enoying. I don't fancy reading half a page of bad humor to get to the point the writer has. If you can live with these drawbacks you get several tips rather cheaply.
Customer Rating: Summary: Highly Recommended: Admirably Useful And Nearly Jargon Free Comment: Using this book should immediately improve the photography of beginners and intermediates. It's organized around specific instructions telling how to handle most commonplace photo situations. The writing is clear and free of technical jargon. The colorful illustrations are large and detailed enough to be quite helpful. The indexing and organization make information easy to find.
Reviewers who objected to the book because of supposedly heavy handed and unfunny attempts at humor must have been in truly sour moods when they wrote. Digital photography isn't exactly a laugh riot, but the author's attempts to lighten things up are unobjectionable and don't get in the way of clarity and effectiveness.
Highly recommended.
