Customer Rating: Summary: Wonderful and easy to understand, quick read Comment: I have been shooting for two years with the Digital Rebel mainly macro so he hit upon those points and I realized I was doing things right. The Author gives great hints and inexpensive ways to take pictures, backgrounds etc. What can I say this is the first photography book that I didn't put down. I read the whole thing. My other books I have read a little here and there. I am ready for another more advanced book.
Thanks
Customer Rating: Summary: Loved the book Comment: I found this book to be very useful and worth every penny. However, the lower corner of the book cover says it's good for you even if you have a point-and-shoot camera and I don't believe that to be true. You really need to have an SLR camera in order to get value from this book. I have one and I learned a lot about how to use it better as a result of this purchase. I would recommend this to anyone who would like to know how to take professional looking pictures without all the mumbo-jumbo lingo that some books offer. I think it's so good that even if I'd checked it out at my library, I'd still go purchase it just to have a copy in my camera bag.
Customer Rating: Summary: A book for ALL, regardless of level of photography... Comment: This is book for everyone and anyone who wants to expand their knowledge of digital photography. Scott is very personable, it seems as though he's right there with you. He is "very down to earth" in his writing style. Everyone will be able to understand and make sense of things. I found him to be humorous, which makes for great reading and helps me to remember details when presented in that format. I only wish I could shoot with him in real life, as he is truly a great teacher. Enjoy this book, I have 10 other digital photography books, and none compare to this one!
Customer Rating: Summary: Poor book - it's a Camera Instruction book Comment: If you lost your instruction book for your camera - buy this book, This is a poor book for anyone who wants to gain a thorough understanding of digital photography -
Customer Rating: Summary: It's like he's talking to you and explaining it Comment: This is probably the best photography book for beginners. A friend lend me this book and a day later I went and purchased my own. You should at least be familiar with what shutter speed, aperture, and ISO is (just google it). Scott wrote this book as if he was speaking to you directly. His jokes got me to laugh several times and his sense of humor is fun. Definitely a must have
