Summary: Best photo book in a long time
Comment: Not a ton of technical things, just practical, useful, and clearly explained tips. How can u beat that??

Summary: Lots of good tips
Comment: While the writing style is a little cavalier, he does make a lot of good suggestions. His equipment suggestions have been a real help. He lists a range of equipment based on price, that he would use/recommend to do the photo. The improvement in my photos was worth the cost of the book. The book is geared to Nikon and Canon users, so I could use the tips with my Nikon.

Summary: Good, but not best
Comment: If you want to bring your phtographic knowledge a step further, buy volume 1 of this book. Here you will find a lot of tips that will improve your pictures. When you know everything in volume 1, and you want some additional tips, buy volume 2. There is nothing wrong with the tips in this book, but they are not for everyone. For instance, a tip for better wedding photos is to bring a second photographer. I'm sure this is perfectly true, but I'm not at that level yet. However, the chapter on flash phtography is very good.

Summary: AWESOME!!!
Comment: I have bought several books on photography in the past six months but this one has surpassed them all with its unique content. Scott Kelby makes it easy for anyone to understand even the most profound areas of digital photography. I would recommend both books 1 and 2 to any aspiring photographer. Thanks Scott!

Summary: Scott Kelby
Comment: This is the kind of book that gets right to the issue. Not a lot of techi stuff, but lots of good points to use. Both of the books digital1 and digital2 are great. Not just for the beginner but also for the more progressed shooter.
