Customer Rating: Summary: Adobe Photoshop Elements 6 &Premiere Elements 4 Classroom Comment: This is an excellent book for anyone who owns the software package. The format is easy to understand and is loaded with color photographs that correspond to the lessons. The enclosed DVD contains the lesson plans that need to be downloaded into your computer. The book was shipped to me within a few days and was purchased "new."
Customer Rating: Summary: Lesson plans Comment: I found this very detailed in all of the information. You do need to have a good working knowledge of using files. The disc supplied was excellent in allowing you to have files to do the task required in fulfilling the lesson plan.
Customer Rating: Summary: Basic How-to book Comment: I purchased this book after purchasing the software. It comes with a CD that has files that you use with the lessons in the book. If you are looking for a book that explains how to use the software, then this book is a good basic book to begin with. It does not, however, go into advanced techniques.
Customer Rating: Summary: disc came with errors Comment: The file " Elephant.avi " came damaged.
Not only in my disc... I asked other users of this course and all reported the same error: They reported that this file inside
the Lesson 2 (Lesson Two) is originally damaged and can't be played inside Lesson 2 of the Premiere Lessons.
As I didnt know which is the place to make a claim so I ordered one more book with disc but it didnt help. Allways the same damaged file !.
Tell me please who can send me the corrected file...
Thank You
Customer Rating: Summary: Just what I needed! Comment: I had just purchased Photoshop Elements 6 / Priemiere Elements 4 software and felt that I really needed a "Tutprial" to lead me through the basics. This book is doing exactly that. As a newbie in photo and video editing, this book is an excellent starting point for learning the complexities of these programs. There are some areas, especially in Premiere Elements, that I wish they had gone into more depth, but I relaize that no single book can cover everything. There are other books available that do cover some of the more advanced features, and I plan to eventually explore some of those, as well.
I have had a few "glitches" with the included lesson files on the dvd. A couple of files were corrupted, or whatever. It was just a matter of copying the files from a different folder on the dvd, since most of the example files are on the disk multiple times.
I highly recommend this book to beginners, like me!
