Summary: Great book!
Comment: This is such a great book for learning HTML & CSS - & so much more. I am learning lots each time I open it. It is presented in such a user-friendly way that I can understand very easily & can actually remember what I have learned! The exercises make it actually feel like I'm doing "the stuff" right away not just learning head-knowledge - though I am learning that too! I am excited to start doing my own websites!

Summary: Excellent content, shoddy manufacturing
Comment: The content of Head First HTML is excellent. The unique presentation style they use is very effective. Most of the book was review for me, but both my wife and daughter went through the book having no HTML background at all, and they both became proficient quickly.
The reason I knocked off one star is that the book is simply falling apart. It seems books with these types of pages (not as porous as others) don't hold the binding glue well. Whatever the reason, it's inconvenient to have pages falling out all over the place. I still recommend getting the book, just be prepared to pick up after it.

Summary: from beautiful minds...
Comment: This book has a lot of compassion in it. While this book would probably not be in the cirriculum in a popular school of computer science, it provides an excellent way to learn, especially if you want to get to the core of the essentials.
The style of teaching in this book is brilliant. It almost reads like a children's book because it keeps your attention. It forces you to think. Not that the college text books are bad, but the Head First approach is a welcome relief when you need to brush up on some skills, or gain a brand new insight into some new technology.

Comment: Never seen before , the book Head First HTML with CSS & XHTML contains new ideas for Learning HTML,XHTML,and CSS , the best idea is an interview between the JPEG image format and GIF image Format , every image format talking about his properties.
