Customer Rating: Summary: Amazing book for beginners! Very Happy! Comment: When I first saw the cover of this book I couldn't take the book seriously, but once I went to Borders and cracked it open I realized after the first couple of pages I was actually entertained and RETAINING the information that I was reading! There are lots of pictures with text in this book that help a lot. I have found that it is easier for me to learn though visual aid as well as text instead of just tons and tons of text. Go to any good book store and crack open this book, I bet you after the first chapter with all the drills (that are fun and funny,) and all of the ways in which the book aproaches each topic (this book is very hands-on, so keep a pencil near), you will be amazed at what you can actually recall! One more thing, just remember to read the book page for page if you are a beginner, don't skip ANYTHING because it is all there to help you out and it's not boring SO READ IT!!
FROM NOW ON IT'S HEAD FIRST BOOKS for all of my tech book needs!!!
Customer Rating: Summary: Gets you quickly where you want to reach Comment: This book teachs you how to do (x)html and css the right and modern way since first pages to the end. It shows you information in the right dosage and very gently; teachs you stuff that you want to do in real life. Loved the chapter where it shows you how to design the site only using div and css, its amazing. Highly recommended book. The first chapters are for beginners, but leave your ego out and keep reading, you wont be disappointed. I readed the entire book in just a few days (maybe 5 or 7, about 3 hours per day), so you will get quickly where you want to go.
Customer Rating: Summary: The Best HTML Book I've Read! Comment: This is without a doubt the best HTML book that I have read. It teaches you in a step by step manner that allows you actually retain most of what you read...The first time! It's also good enough to keep your attention for long periods of time. I read the book as the authors recommended and I can truly say for the first time that I feel really comfortable with HTML and CSS.
Customer Rating: Summary: I'm an artist, you know a picture is a thousand words kind of guy... Comment: Why did you do this to me? Why? I was happy accepting that GoLive did everything for me. I was telling everyone it does everything and you don't have to know HTML. Then this book comes along and shows me what that Source tab is about. And it makes it interesting and fun, I mean really fun. It's as if I'm in an Apple or Dollar Store, I just can't leave. I can't put it down, Easy, easy, easy. How did they make all that information so much fun? Every explanation is like a short little story. I'm not only going to sound like I know what I'm talking about, I really will. Forget that easy button. This is like having a best buddy come over and hold my hand easy. This book really cares about me. Now I'll know what putting a little X into my life is all about.

Customer Rating: Summary: Using your head! Comment: I am still working my way through this book, but it's sticking! This is very exciting becuase I've read several how to's and had the information not stick at all. I definitely reccomend this book for any average joe who wants to write simple webpages, or as the first step to writing those really complicated webpages!
