Comment: This book makes the understanding of java web appication very easy.
It's also a grate bokk for the ones who want to certificate SCWCD. You will not need any other bibliography to pass the exam.

Comment: I've not taken the exam, but this book clearly covers much more than exam objective material. This is both good and bad.

Good, because I'll refer to the book for quite a bit in the future.
Bad, because I'm lazy and filling my brain with valuable material that's not necessarily relevant to the exam.

Overall the book is well written, organized and enjoyable to read.

Summary: Good investment
Comment: This book is a very good investment. I passed the exam with a 92% score thanks to it, and it only took me about 20 days to prepare. The Head First approach is a didactic and very fun way to learn. And you can also use the book as a reference on servlets and JSP. This is the best one I've found on the subject. And as Ken Arnold says, "Be careful - you might actually learn something!"
