Summary: A Giant Leap for Photoshop Elements 6 - both MacIntosh and Windows Vista
Comment: I have had Mac Photoshop Elements 6,4, and 3 and now a Windows Vista Elements 6. I also have had Lightroom since its introduction. Elements 6 is visually similar to Lightroom and not like what preceded it. Unless you do graphics design and/or create images that begin as photographs, then Elements 6 should work great and at a significally smaller budget. You can use Lightroom and within it you can take your image to Photoshop Elements 6 and then return to Lightroom. Spectacular -- even better if you have a PC because, for Father's Day you can get s sginificant price break from Amazon.com. I am just finishing a 30 day trial for my PC and will be getting a PC Windows Vista DVD for myself even though I am not a father. It's my wonderful gift to me.
I have had the long-awaited Mac version since the week it debuted. I have not regretted my purchase especially since I can handle RAW (Nikon NEF) images within both of the Elements and Lightroom.
Get Elements 6 and Lightroom both if you can.
I am a fairly advanced amateur photographer but Elements 6 Mac will lead you through each of the steps you want to use and it is like having a tutor on your shoulder.
Try them, you will like them!

Summary: A Great upgrade from Albumn 2.0
Comment: I've been using Adobe Albumn 2.0 for many years and finally upgrade to Photoshop Elements 6.0 last week. I use Photoshop CS2 at work and was excited to find a few of those nice features in Elements. Although, not as comprehensive as the full Photoshop tool, Elements certainly is a great improvement over Albumn 2.0. It was also a very seemless upgrade when I converted my catalog from Albumn format to Elements format. I would definitely recommend this product.

Comment: Great software at a great price. Son uses it at school and so we got it for him for his birthday so he could use it at home. Super product. Amazing what he can do with pictures with this software.

Comment: Excellent program with incredible capabilities, but it's going to take a long time to master it due to the complexity of the program (and I am not a novice at computers, by any means). I'm excited about being able to use this program for digital scrapbooking.
