Customer Rating: Summary: organizer is a nightmare! Comment: I looked forward to photoshop elements 6. I have Vista. I just spent 2 days organizing my photo's... some disappeared. some can't be transfered into computer folders, some don't show up in the tag log, DO NOT USE THIS FOR A WAY TO ORGANIZE YOUR PHOTO'S!!!! It has major bugs. Use it to edit photo's... but before spending a lot of time on it..try saving it first. I just made a video and all the pictures which showed up when I made it were deleted. ADOBE please fix these issues.......
Customer Rating: Summary: Adobe Photoshop Elements 6 Comment: Not as easy to master as I had anticipated. I had trouble with the program shutting down and freezing up while loading my pictures. My computer may not be equipped to handle the program as I had thought. I purchased a book to learn how to use it and so far I am still at square one. It would not be my recommendation for a scrapbooking hobbiest and amature photographer.
Customer Rating: Summary: Very Pleased with Adobe Photoshop Elements 6 Comment: This application meets all my needs: 1. installs readily; 2. easy to use; 3. permits a variety of photo alterations.
Good job to all the program engineers.

Customer Rating: Summary: Great new features, new dark color scheme very hard to use Comment: I love Adobe's products. The photoshop products in particular are fantastic. Photoshop Elements has so much of the power of the fully professional CS3 that I am amazed at its low cost. I bought this revision for one reason - the powerful quick selection tool. If your tired of painstakingly selecting parts of a photo - this will absolutely blow you away. But there is some bad news in this release, read on...
For folks that want something really easy to use, this may not be your cup of tea. The features while absolutely incredible are not obvious to use. If you want to really use the power of this tool - one of the books on the subject is really a must. It's still an incredible tool with one more caveat related to this version.
Now for the bad news. the user interface in 6.0 has gone to an dark charcoal colored theme, with many of the icons more colorful in presentation - so far so good. The problem is that it is too dark. For example, the "options" bar at the top of the panel is an important feature - and it is used all the time. But now I can hardly see any of its icons. My eyesight is pretty good too. The black icons blend in with the dark charcoal. It's really unbelievable.
Another example. Many of the selection menus (such as the the brush menu - where you select brush size and shape). I can hardly see the brush icons in the menu, they blend in with the dark background. Adobe should have made the icons WHITE in such a dark theme. ADOBE Tech Support told me this cannot be changed by the user.
Adobe, what are you thinking! I can understand someone wanted a trendy new look, but it's unacceptable not to give customers a choice in the matter.
Customer Rating: Summary: I may always have trouble with layers... Comment: I'm just getting started on the easy aspects of this program and I find it certainly easier than the earlier versions of PSE. Maybe my new faster computer helps. Not sure I like to save all my pics to PS, I'm going to start archiving in other files and programs as well. I have too many and would prefer keeping them on my external hard drive. The more I use it, the easier it becomes......it's those "layers" that always throw me, but I need to redo that chapter.
