Comment: I am sorry for this purchase. The booklet that came with it tells you nothing. The program is very difficult to operate or maybe its me. But anyway I wasted my money and am sorry for the purchase. The hype on line looked so easy that I was hooked. I found an on-line site that is easy and does what I want. In order to work this program (photoshop 6.0)I will have to purchase an manual to explain what to do. I don't think so!!

Comment: Prior to my purchase I had researched the various reviews of PSE 6 on the internet. I'd been a long-time user of Jasc/Corel Paint Shop Pro and Paint Shop Photo Pro and was considering the upgrade to version X2. Professionals and home-users alike sang the praises of PSE 6 so I thought I'd give it a try. Adobe offers a 30 day no restrictions "tryout version" that is available and that's what won me over. Adobe has included a number of features from the full-blown Photoshop into PSE and it really is an incredibly powerful photo editor.
There are a number of third-party books available to help you with the learning curve. My recommendation is Barbara Brundage's "Photoshop Elements 6 - The Missing Manual." It isn't tutorial-based but it leads you through the features and functions of PSE 6 in a logical step-by-step process. Its very well written and easy to follow.

Comment: I've been working for almost two months on Photoshop Elements 6.0 and this product performs incredibly on my Windows/XP computer. Currently, I am rescuing old family slides and this product is such a great help recovering colors, tonal corrections, sharpening images, etc. More advanced features can only be found on more expensive products. Photoshop Elements 6.0 is just great.
