Summary: Extremely Satisfied
Comment: I've been working for almost two months on Photoshop Elements 6.0 and this product performs incredibly on my Windows/XP computer. Currently, I am rescuing old family slides and this product is such a great help recovering colors, tonal corrections, sharpening images, etc. More advanced features can only be found on more expensive products. Photoshop Elements 6.0 is just great.

Summary: Photoshop Elements 6.0
Comment: This is an impressive product. It has most of the features of the full Photoshop and all that I need. Plugins that I have purchased from AKVIS and others work fine with it. The Amazon price with the $[...] rebate (that I just received) made it a real bargain. The Organizer has many nice functions to it that I might use sometime in the future.

Summary: PE Ver 6 - Another winner
Comment: I purchased Photoshop Elements Ver.6 as a divorce gift for my ex-wife and she seems to really like it. She told me that it was very user friendly and easy to learn even though it has a lot of capabilities.

Summary: Seems to Work now
Comment: I bought this product shortly after Christmas 2007. I love Photoshop Elements and had version 2 and 4 before. I was keeping my fingers crossed that none of problems that occurred with other people would happen when I installed it. It wasn't to go the easy way I found out. Right after installing it it worked fine, but next time I opened the organizer, it froze. This went on for a couple of weeks while I researched an tried to find out why this was happening.
The Editor worked fine from the beginning.
There are a few helpful hints in the "readme" file on the installation disk. One day after a couple of weeks the program did not freeze but prompted me if I would like to update my catalog. Needless to say I said yes and it worked! Only, every time I wanted to view one of my albums, the program closed itself. Also, for the new photos that I uploaded, the thumbnails did not appear, just an hourglass.

A couple of days ago I looked in the Organizer under "Help" > "Online Support" - there I found some troubleshooting tips and I found some way to "repair" the catalog. This I did and - miraculously - it did the trick.
Now the program seems to run fine. The organizer works, I have updated my catalog along with all the tags and albums from the previous version.

The program looks great and I am looking forward to working with it - finally!
(I am running it on a Windows XP Service Pack 2 Laptop)

Summary: Good alternative to Photoshop CS
Comment: I have used the full version of Photoshop for years to repair old photos. Elements is just as good at a fraction of the cost. Upgrading Photoshop CS is very expensive and since I am only interested in working on photos, Elements is a perfect solution.
